The project involved a training of 50 trainers to enhance COVID-19 response measures to prevent spread of the disease to the whole community of Biharu ward. However, Mydia-tz through the support of EWB-USA, Greater Austin Chapter managed to install 35 Handwashing points at different institutions and distributed 3,500Kgs of powder soap and cleaning materials to run the handwashing points. The project has and is continuing reaching more that 19,000 people in the Biharu community of Buhigwe district in Tanzania.
